Support the CAC

The work of the Center for Action and Contemplation is possible only because of friends and supporters like you! Gifts of any amount are received gratefully and are tax-deductible in the United States to the extent allowed by the law.

Ways to Give

Donate Online: Click here to make a one-time donation or to set up a recurring gift plan securely online with Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. To donate via PayPal, click here or, during checkout from CAC’s online bookstore, select “Add a Donation.”

Recurring Donations Bank-to-Bank: To set up a recurring gift plan for ACH/EFT donations, send name and city of bank, routing number, account number, amount to be transferred, and frequency of donation to the mailing address below,  email development@cac.org, or call 505-242-9588 ext. 113.

Send a check* made payable to “Center for Action and Contemplation” to:
Center for Action and Contemplation
P.O. Box 12464
Albuquerque, NM 87195

Gifts of stock and bequests are also welcome. For more information, contact us at the mailing address above or email development@cac.org

*International checks: We gratefully accept checks in U.S. funds. Because our bank will not collect on checks less than $250 and charges a fee of $50 to process checks drawn on banks outside the United States, in addition to the difference in exchange rate, we’re only able to accept checks for $250 USD or more.

Receipt of Donations

CAC acknowledges each donation with a receipt for tax records. If you have not retained copies of these receipts, and your total donations in a year exceed $249, you may request a statement of your donations to CAC for the previous year by writing to CAC. (Note that the IRS may not require donations under $250 to be verified by receipt. Check with your tax preparer.)

How CAC Stewards Donated Funds

Our budgeting philosophy holds the CAC to high standards of sustainable and responsible stewardship. We strive to meet operating expenses through earned income. However, donations allow us to make our work accessible to many more individuals than would otherwise be possible. For example, donations help to fund the following projects:

  • Daily Meditations emails—Reflections by Fr. Richard Rohr are sent free to thousands around the world, every day of the year.
  • Living School—The Living School for Action and Contemplation opened in September 2013 thanks to the support of donors, including the charter group of Living Stones.
  • Online Education—As funds and time are available, CAC continues to grow its catalog of self-paced, in-depth online courses, open to the public.
  • Webcasts—All are welcome to view CAC’s hour-long, live webcasts online, regardless of ability to pay ($1 is required to process registration; payments above $1 are tax-deductible donations).
  • Financial Assistance—Sliding scale fees and scholarships enable students and those of limited financial means to participate in CAC programs.
  • Collaborative partnerships—Local, national, and international partnerships encourage and extend the CAC’s reach.
