Using the lifecycle of an oak tree, Kaitlin provides a metaphor for how stories are born, grow, and eventually return to the earth. She invites listeners to approach the world with childlike curiosity and humility, recognizing that nature has stories to tell us.
“I write about lethal loving and liminal stories,” explains Kaitlin. She asks us, “What stories are truly loving? What stories are lethal and oppressive? And what stories are liminal where we don’t really know yet?”
