Virtual Sit Meditations for Lent 2026
About This Event
Let go of the old and make room for new beginnings this Lenten season. Join CAC faculty, staff, and guests for a series of free Lent Virtual Sit Meditations — online reflections and contemplative prayer guided by the wisdom of Father Richard Rohr’s devotional, Wondrous Encounters: Scripture for Lent.
These meditations will be broadcast on our YouTube channel each Friday morning during Lent, on February 20, February 27, March 6, March 13, March 20, and March 27, at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time.
“People connected to the Source do not need their own agenda. The flow of Spirit happens through them.”
—Fr. Richard Rohr
A Reflective Tradition

Since its founding in 1987, the Center for Action and Contemplation has begun each day with a 20-minute period of silent contemplative prayer that our founder, Father Richard Rohr, likes to call “Daily Sit.”
Inspired by this “Daily Sit” tradition, these Virtual Sit Meditations offer our global CAC community a time of shared reflection, stillness, and insight.

About Wondrous Encounters
These meditations will explore themes from Fr. Richard’s devotional Wondrous Encounters: Scripture for Lent.
This Lenten devotional invites us into an inner transformation of our original “image and likeness” of God. Each meditation begins with a guiding phrase, followed by reflection, key Scripture passages, and a concluding Starter Prayer that invites self-disclosure and a deep, desire-filled dialogue with the divine.
You may find this book helps you go deeper into the teachings from this year’s Lent Sit Meditation videos.
